CLYDE — Hinny Hard Seltzer, which originated in this Wayne County village, has announced a new distribution partnership with Northeast Eagle Distributors, bringing Hinny to even more consumers across northeastern Pennsylvania.
“We’re excited to expand Hinny’s footprint in Pennsylvania through our partnership with Northeast Eagle Distributors,” said Tim Nickels, founder of Hinny Hard Seltzer. “As a veteran-owned brand, we take our responsibility to our customers seriously — from the quality that goes into every can to the way we support our communities. Partnering with another veteran-owned company that shares our values makes Northeast Eagle an ideal fit as we continue to expand across the state.”
The expansion follows earlier growth in 2025 where the brand partnered with Price Chopper to put the seltzer in their supermarkets in upstate New York. The seltzer is also available at West Side in Clyde.
Hinny’s availability at Price Chopper adds to its growing retail presence across New York State, complementing recent appearances at major events such as the Taste NY Pavilion throughout the Saratoga Race Course season including the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival.

The hard seltzer is named for the offspring of a stallion and a jenny, which is a female donkey, and harkens back to the days when mules and other animals pulled barges along the Erie Canal.
The craft-made hard seltzer comes in four flavors, pink grapefruit, grape, blueberry mint and black cherry.
Through this partnership with Eagle, Hinny Hard Seltzer will be available at a growing number of retailers, bars, and restaurants throughout Northeast Eagle’s territory in northeastern Pennsylvania, including Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Wayne, Monroe, Pike and Carbon counties. Consumers can look forward to discovering their favorite Hinny flavors at locations across the region beginning in 2026.
Formally established in 2021 in Clyde, Hinny Hard Seltzer is a veteran-owned business dedicated to producing high-quality, award-winning, seltzers in bold and distinct flavors. The Nickels family, although from New York’s capital region, owned and expanded DNT Express, a liquor distributor in Clyde, before selling it a few years ago.
