Hello!! I’m reporting in after an amazing No Kings day here in Pittsburgh, PA. We had 5 separate events around PGH today. I was a volunteer with the Pittsburgh Overpass Project at the event in Allegheny Commons Park on the North Side from 2-4pm. I was there early with P.O.P. setting up our banners all around the park.
The crowd was joyous and huge! Our estimated size was 7k around 3pm.
P.O.P. Set up an activity where we used tarp scraps from our overpass banners and asked people to contribute a hope or a dream for our country and we live assembled a banner. My favorite of the day was a 5 year old girl who wanted her tarp to say “No more Trump”. I’ve never twisted so many twist ties before 😂
People are engaged and aware. It was a beautiful day.
