DECATUR, Ala. — Decatur City Schools extended its sympathies to family and friends of Amy Jackson, an elementary school reading coach who passed away Christmas morning. The following message was posted online.
DEEPEST SYMPATHY: Decatur City Schools wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Amy Jackson, who unexpectedly passed away this morning.
Amy was a dedicated member of our school community and most recently served as the reading coach at Walter Jackson Elementary, Decatur, Al.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, as well the many colleagues with whom she has served with over the years.
