Downtown Moscow was full of festive activities for families to enjoy Saturday afternoon.

MOSCOW, Pa. — Christmas celebrations are still happening here in Lackawanna County.

Visitors to downtown Moscow got a chance to enjoy a range of holiday festivities. From art, storytelling, food, live music, shopping, and of course, hot cider and hot chocolate.

This is the second year that the event has been running since a hiatus.

“It’s really a fun night to celebrate the local Russian culture and to partner with our local businesses and arts community to have a nice evening for everyone,” said Amy Belcher, President of the North Pocono Cultural Society.

The magical celebration is being prepared for January 7th, also known as Christmas for people who follow the Julian calendar.
