BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The holidays are not quite over yet.
ArtsQuest hosted it’s 14th annual Three Kings Celebration filled with Latin culture on Sunday.
“It’s a family event. It’s filled with lots of good Latin food,” said Myrna Rivera, Chair of Latin Programming Committee at ArtsQuest.
Lots of good Latin food and music. Three Kings Day is a tradition rich in Puerto Rican culture.
“I want our cultural traditions to continue,” said Rivera. “It’s nice to have our youth understand that the three kings are who really who brings the toys to them. I mean, they get toys from Santa, but they also get toys from the three kings.”
The three kings were on hand for pictures and so was Einstein the camel. There were also gifts for the kids. Organizers work hard to make sure it’s magical every year. “So we begin planning this as soon as this is over, we start trying to collect toys through Toys for Tots for the children,” said Rivera.
This year they welcomed more than 700 people. ArtsQuest called it, “One of the best ways to end the holiday season.”
