There will be several events taking place throughout Erie during the months of January and February.
Poverty Knob has been transformed into a holiday wonderland and is completely decked out from head to toe with twinkling lights, sparkling tinsel, ornaments dangling from every rafter, and Christmas trees around every corner. The decor is set to stay up until Feb. 1.
Kellar’s Magic and Comedy Club is set to host Greg Morton who got his first job at age 16 as a P.A. announcer. That voice grabbed the attention of all shoppers, and it recently wowed the judges on season 14 of America’s Got Talent. Howie Mandel even stated that his name should be on a banner in Vegas as he is a one-man variety show. Greg Morton will be on the stage at Kellar’s on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $25 on Kellar’s website.
On Jan. 10 the Warner Theater will bring an all-new show to the stage by celebrating The Beatles’ second film HELP! The show will feature performances from the movie soundtrack as well as their greatest hits from every Era. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online.
Voodoo Brewery will have Singo continuing every Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Singo is a musical twist on the classic Bingo game. Throughout each round players will listen to clips of songs and mark their Singo card when one of their songs is played. The game is free to play, and winners of each round will receive a prize. Those who bring their pups along will receive $5 entry into Barks & Brews.
The Erie Bayfront Convention Center will host the Erie Winter Blast Cheer and Dance Championships on Jan. 10 beginning at 9 a.m. The event center is said to come alive with the energy and passion of cheerleading and dance teams from across the region which includes Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, and Canada. This competition will bring together some of the finest cheer and dance teams to showcase their skills, spirit, and passion. Arundel Cellars will have a Sunday Concert Series beginning on Jan. 11 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. This concert series will feature Denny and Heather. Guests can enjoy delicious local wines, brews, and food all while listening to their free live music every Sunday.
