State neglects pre-2001 retirees

Editor: It was brought to the attention of citizens of Pennsylvania in a recent broadcast where they told how PA administrators are once again getting a COLA for the 30th time. They have gotten one every year for the last 30 years. Yet the Republican senators have refused to give a single one to the teachers and other state employees who retired before 2001 and have not gotten any for 27 years. Thanks to the members of the House who have passed one at least three times, only to be ignored by the Repubilcan Senate. You think they would have some sense of honesty about them. Did they forget that the jobs they have can be contributed to their teachers? Most of the retirees are in their 80s and would like to pass away with some sense of dignity instead of poverty.
