There will be an overnight closure of a portion of Route 11 (North Main Street) in Pittston from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday to perform test drilling for underground utility locations, according to PennDOT.

Traffic will be detoured onto Kennedy Boulevard, then back onto Main Street during the overnight closure.

When encountering a work zone, officials advise motorists to drive the posted speed limit, turn on headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
