Dolores M. Montella
OBITUARY
Dolores M. Montella, 92, of Scranton died Sunday January 4, 2026 at the Elan Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. She was the widow of Carmen Montella who passed away on April 6, 2011.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Van Kirk and Kathleen June Snyder Noyes. A graduate of Scranton Central High School, and the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, prior to retirement she was employed as a registered nurse at Moses Taylor Hospital.
Surviving are sons, Dr. Michael Montella and his wife Trudy, Waverly, and Paul Montella, Arizona; grandchildren, Kathleen Loughran and husband Ryan, Jamie Eigen and husband Jared, and Eric Montella and partner Olivia Julian; great-grandchildren Bryson and Madelyn Eigen and Ronan and Emily Loughran; several nieces and nephews.
Dolores’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Audrey Cecchetelli and Carol Williams for their years of friendship and kindness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram St., Scranton. Private interment Cathedral Cemetery. Family and Friends may pay their respects Wednesday morning from 10 am until time of Mass in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave. Scranton.
