BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A new report from the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) shed light on the top 10 counties in the state with the highest number of human trafficking offenses.
According to their findings, 5% of offences committed in Blair County involved human trafficking. Franklin County recorded the highest number at 15%, while Cumberland County recorded the lowest at 2%. Overall, for Pennsylvania, 431 cases of human trafficking were filed over the past five years and a total of 1,432 human trafficking offenses were filed.
The data also showed that an overwhelming number of men, mostly aged 30 to 39 years, of age were defendants in human trafficking cases in the state.

The courts collected data on the offences from Jan. 1, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2024, that were recorded in the state’s common pleas management system and magisterial district judge system.

The release of this data coincides with Human-Trafficking Awareness Month, which is observed in January.
