U. SAUCON TWP., Pa. – Police, fire crews and the bomb squad responded to an incident at a Wawa in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County Tuesday.
Crews were sent to the store on Route 309 after a 911 call was made shortly before 12:30 p.m., according to county dispatchers.
Authorities say an uninvolved customer walked by a vehicle in the store’s parking lot and saw a suspicious device on the passenger seat.
Upon arrival, police secured the perimeter and requested assistance from the Allentown Bomb Squad to inspect and secure the device.
Wawa has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities say there is no threat to the public at this time.
