The 2026 PA Farm Show formally returns Saturday, bringing with it eight days of good food, agricultural exhibits, chef demonstrations and much more.
Here’s a brief primer to reference before you go, with information about parking, Lancaster connections and more.
When is the 2026 PA Farm Show?
This year’s PA Farm Show runs formally from Saturday, Jan. 10, to Saturday, Jan. 17. Those just looking for the food court can attend from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, and enjoy free parking, too.
The Farm Show runs daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the exception of Sunday, Jan. 11, with hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the event’s final day, Saturday, Jan. 17, with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where is the PA Farm Show?
It’s at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, at 2300 N. Cameron St., Harrisburg.
What’s the parking situation?
There are plenty of parking spots near the Farm Show complex, including lots surrounding the building, as well as across the street at the PA Department of Agriculture building (weekends only), or a little further away at the Elmerton Avenue parking lots. Parking costs $15 and is payable by credit card. Lots that aren’t within walking distance will offer free shuttle buses. Those with disabilities can find spots close to the building on a first-come, first-served basis.
What’s this year’s new milkshake flavor?
In celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the PA Farm Show will have a milkshake flight available this year, featuring three flavors: strawberry, vanilla and blue raspberry.
What is this year’s theme?
This year, the PA Farm Show’s theme is “Growing a Nation,” which commemorates Pennsylvania’s role in democracy. This theme will be celebrated in conjunction with the United Nations deeming 2026 as “the International Year of the Woman Farmer.”
What’s new at the food court?
The stand for the Mushroom Farmers of Pennsylvania will sell a mushroom breakfast burrito, as well as a Lion’s Mane mushroom coffee.
What’s new, in general?
— Chef Bryan Voltaggio — who recently won the Food Network’s “Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas” alongside his brother, Michael Voltaggio — will host two cooking demonstrations on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
— Chefs will partner with Pennsylvania farmers during food demonstrations. In addition, there will also be food safety tips shared.
— There will be daily classes as part of a series called “So, You Want To Be a Farmer?”
— In addition to cheese, wine, cider and beer competitions, there will be a PA spirits competition this year, featuring drinks from the state’s distilleries.
— In celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday, there will be interactive crafts and displays in conjunction with America250PA.
What Lancaster connections are there?
The PA Farm Show is a massive undertaking with thousands of people behind the scenes and doing demonstrations. Two close-to-home connections include:
— New Providence resident Maria Siegrist, who attends school in the Solanco School District, will sing the national anthem at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. Siegrist has also previously performed as part of American Music Theatre’s annual Christmas show, and she sang the national anthem at the Solanco Fair in 2024.
— Chef John Moeller, owner and executive chef at the Greenfield Restaurant & Bar, will head a cooking demonstration at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, making sautéed veal medallions with mushrooms and a fine herb mustard cream sauce. Formerly, Moeller was a White House chef from 1992-2005, cooking for the Bush and Clinton administrations (though, for Clinton’s administration, he was the sous chef).
