READING, PA. – The Governor Mifflin girls looking to stay within striking distance of Wilson for the Berks I lead. Also on the line, Bella Super just 15 points shy of reaching the 1,000 point club. They took to the road to face third place Reading.
Reading’s Xianny Beatty drives and gets the finger roll to fall. She would finish the night with 25 points, a team high.
Late in the first, Mifflin’s Bridget Martin kicks it out to Super for three. 13-8 headed to the second.
Midway through the second, Super sitting at 997 points, is alone beyond the arc, and she wouldn’t miss. Bella Super reaches 1,000 points as she scores a game high 31 points.
Governor Mifflin holds off a Reading, 59-55.
