DICKSON CITY, Pa. — A mall in Lackawanna County has been closed following an evacuation due to a gas leak.
Police say they were dispatched for smoke coming from electrical meters and then reported a natural gas leak around 3:45 p.m. People at the mall were evacuated.
The fire chief for the Dickson City Fire Department says the gas leak was resolved around 5 p.m.; there is now an electrical outage at the mall until 8:30 p.m. due to a possible electrical fire underground.
There is no word on when the mall will reopen.
