Pennsylvania State Police Troop M will host its annual Camp Cadet Program from June 7 through June 12, 2026, at Camp Fowler in Orefield, giving young people a chance to experience life at a police academy.

The overnight summer camp accepts boys and girls ages 12 to 15 and aims to introduce participants to the criminal justice system while building positive relationships between law enforcement and youth. Cadets will live in an environment modeled after an actual State Police Academy.

The program features presentations from municipal, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Participants will learn about teamwork, honesty and integrity while developing discipline and self-esteem to promote good decision-making.

By the end of the week-long program, cadets will gain understanding of what it takes to become a police officer, according to the announcement.

Registration opens Monday, Jan. 19, through the camp’s website at troopmcampcadet.org. Camp Fowler is located at 5851 Horseshoe Road in Orefield, Lehigh County.
