Monday is the last day for Pennsylvanians to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election.
Anyone who is not a U.S. citizen and not a resident of Pennsylvania at least 30 days before the next election can’t register to vote. County election bureaus must receive registration applications by Monday.
The last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot is Oct. 28. In Lackawanna County, registration and mail-in-ballot application materials are available online at lackawannacounty.org by clicking the “Department of Elections” link on the homepage.
Lackawanna County voters have the option of returning mail-in ballots via six secure drop boxes. Five of the six are accessible weekdays until Oct. 31 at noon. The drop box in the vestibule of the county government center, 123 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Nov. 4 until the polls close at 8 p.m.
