Pistol-whipping incident sends 1 to hospital in Pittsburgh’s Bluff neighborhood

Pittsburgh police are investigating after they said a man was found with multiple injuries after being pistol-whipped in the city’s Bluff neighborhood Friday night. Officials said they were called to the area of Jumonville Street and the Boulevard of the Allies around 11 p.m. following reports of a man with injuries to his face. When responders arrived at the scene, they said a man was found with multiple lacerations to his face, consistent with being pistol-whipped. He was reportedly dropped off at the location where he was found by a private vehicle that left the scene before police arrived. The victim was alert and speaking to medics at the time he was taken to the hospital, although he was reported to be in critical condition. Police later said his condition had improved.
