Despite a chill returning to the air, the energy inside the Bayfront Convention Center was anything but chilly.
Hundreds of athletes brought the heat to Erie this weekend for the Winter Beach Blast Cheer and Dance Championship.
Competitors took to the mats to showcase their skills in hopes of taking home top honors.
Teams came from across the U.S. and Canada.
The event was hosted by Champion Cheer Central.
Families and friends packed the building to cheer on the cheerleaders and celebrate their hard work.
The winner moves on to the one prime finals.
