ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Good Shepherd Rehabilitation officials are addressing an “isolated incident” that reportedly occurred Sunday night at a former hospital facility in Allentown. 

According to a Facebook post from Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, Allentown police responded to the former hospital building located at 850 S. 5th Street. 

The facility is no longer in operation, and the organization stated it is “aware of and cooperating with the Allentown Police Department on an isolated incident”.

Good Shepherd officials emphasized that the situation did not involve any current patients, residents, or employees. 

“All of our patients, residents and staff are safe, and there is no ongoing threat to safety,” said Carry Gerber, vice president of advancement and marketing.

While an investigation is reportedly ongoing, no details regarding the nature of the incident have been released.
