The festivities kick off Friday with Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic, where creativity and chaos collide in a slope-side spectacle of homemade sleds and wild rides. The fun continues with The World’s Largest 80’s Party, featuring M80’s, a high-energy tribute to the golden age of MTV — complete with big hair, bold looks, and even bigger tunes.
Saturday brings fan-favorite events like the Pond Skimming Competition, where brave participants attempt to glide across icy waters in outrageous costumes. The excitement builds to a crescendo as Sugar Ray, the multi-charting Billboard Top 10 rockers, headline the night alongside special guests Wheatus. The weekend wraps up with a dazzling fireworks display lighting up the snowy slopes.

Attendees to Mountainfest at Montage Mountain can now witness the action at Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic! The annual event where competitors slide down the mountain in makeshift sleds has found a new home at the Scranton ski resort.
