Employee-owned refractory services provider, ONEX Inc. is celebrating 60 years of business. The business has recently acquired Upstate Refractory Services, Inc. which will allow the business to extend operations into New York further reinforcing its ability to serve more industrial customers throughout the Northeast region.
Starting on Jan. 1 Upstate Refractory Services will operate as ONEX’s New York location. The operations will ensure that customers and employees receive continuity. The addition broadens the businesses coverage for customers receiving products from ONEX.

The existing leadership will continue for the Upstate Team. Krista Nolan will be General Manager of the new location with her brother Bryan and Jason Wetmore will remain in their key roles.

Throughout 2026 the integration will continue including brand alignment updates and long-term planning throughout all ONEX locations allowing for a seamless transition for customers and employees.
