Jan. 11

Fraud: A resident of Tyler Drive in Edgmont Township reported someone opened a fraudulent Verizon account using her information.

Jan. 10

Police vehicle struck: At 5:57 a.m. on Interstate 95 north in the area of mile marker 8.4, a 2010 Toyota Corolla rear ended a stopped Rav4 and a Tinicum Township police vehicle, which were both stopped due to another crash in the center and right lanes of the highway. The operator of the Rav4 was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.

Jan. 9

Crash: At 2:49 a.m. a Nissan Pathfinder left Interstate 476 at mile marker 14.9 south in Radnor and began traveling down a path on the shoulder for about three-tenths of a mile and then overturned because of the embankment slope. The SUV rolled into a retention, pond ending up on the passenger side and trapping the 64-year-old driver. The victim was extricated by Radnor Fire Company and troopers, and taken to Paoli Hospital.

Jan. 5

Fleeing: At 6:39 a.m., troopers responded to a crash on Interstate 95. However while en route, troopers observed a silver 2013 Nissan Rouge committing multiple traffic offences. A stop was attempted, resulting in a pursuit of about 5 miles. During the pursuit, the operator of the Nissan called 911 to say they were responding to the same crash. Told to pull over, he said he would not. At exit 10 the Nissan stopped and the driver eventually arrested. The original crash was unfounded.

Jan. 3

DUI: At 2:18 a.m., troopers stopped a vehicle for numerous traffic violations on Interstate 95 south in Upper Chichester Township. A 55-year-old male operator was arrested following a standardized field sobriety test.

Dec. 28

Vandalism: The Middletown Township Sewer Authority reported someone has been intentionally dumping beer cans, gallon buckets, logs and a soccer ball into the sewer at Meadow Croft Lane in Brookhaven causing a backup to the sewer line resulting in overflow conditions.

Dec. 26

Retail theft: At 5:59 p.m., troopers responded to Boscov’s in Granite Run for a retail theft in progress. The thief was last seen putting the stolen items, valued at $1,053, into the trunk of her 2008 silver Hyundai. The 37-year-old from Swarthmore resident was arrested. A search of the woman discovered cocaine and paraphernalia.

Nov. 11

DUI: At 8:51 p.m., troopers stopped a black 2023 GMC Sierra on Interstate 95 north in Tinicum. A 47-year-old Newark man was arrested for driving under the influence.

Oct. 30

Harassment: At 8:14 p.m., troopers responded to the Halloween Shop in the Concord Town Center for threats. Two suspects cornered a 16-year-old victim in the store and threatened violence. Investigation revealed a family member of a store employee was involved. A photo array was conducted, however an identity could with not be made. Video surveillance was requested but never provided before the store closed for the season.

Sept. 19

Stolen property: At 6:58 p.m., a 2009 Dodge was stopped on West Baltimore Pike in Middletown Township. The license plate was reported stolen. The operator related she had just purchased the vehicle from an business in New Jersey. The plate was seized and the vehicle towed.
