The race for Lackawanna League division titles will boil to a fever pitch Tuesday as first place in all three are at stake as the regular season speeds toward the midway point.
There is no official declaration, but fans could certainly label it “Rivalry Night.”
In Division I, No. 1 Scranton Prep (8-2 overall, 4-0 division) plays at No. 6 Abington Heights (7-5, 4-0).
In Division II, No. 5 Old Forge (9-2, 4-0) is at No. 3 Riverside (11-1, 3-1), and No. 2 Dunmore (11-1, 4-0) visits No. 10 Holy Cross (6-6, 2-2).
In Division III, Lackawanna Trail (8-3, 3-1) is at No. 8, Elk Lake (11-1, 4-0).

The Comets won 12 of the last 15 in the series. Scranton Prep, however, swept both league games last season, winning by 18 and 29 points.
Certainly, the Scranton Prep-Abington Heights game deserves the spotlight in Division I, but there is another game of importance. No. 7 Delaware Valley (9-3, 2-2) plays at No. 4 Valley View (10-1, 2-1) at 6:45 p.m.
Delaware Valley leads the District 2 Class 6A power rating standings. The Warriors have a high-octane offense that scored 60 or more points eight times this season. Division II
Dunmore sent a message with its thrilling win at Riverside last week.
The Bucks play at borough rival Holy Cross on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Dunmore defeated the Crusaders, 96-54, in the Lynett Memorial Basketball Tournament in late December. Dunmore has a balanced attack, led by Sload with 18.4 points per game, followed by Canavan (16.5), Clark (13.3) and Aviles (10.8).
Holy Cross recovered from a four-game losing streak and continues to navigate without leading scorer Adam Badyrka, who hasn’t played in nine games while recovering from an injury.
The Crusaders defeated Mid Valley and Lakeland last week. CJ Thompson, who missed time earlier this year with an injury, is averaging 17.8 points per game, and Colin Farrell is averaging 12.6 points per game.
Dunmore has not won at Holy Cross in 15 years.
Riverside will host its second marquee game of the regular season Tuesday against Old Forge at 7:15 p.m. Riverside won the last four meetings in the series.
Sophomore Nico Antoniacci is closing in on 1,000 career points. The NCAA Division I recruit has 946 points and 130 3-pointers and is averaging 31.2 points per game this season.
Vikings junior Brayden Rose has 820 career points and is contributing 18.9 points per game this season.
Old Forge won seven games since a loss to Valley View. The Blue Devils scored more than 60 points six times this season.

Last season, Lackawanna Trail snapped an 11-game losing streak to Elk Lake and carried the momentum to an appearance in the District 2 Class 2A final and a trip to the PIAA playoffs.
Susquehanna plays at Carbondale Area (2-10, 1-3) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Sabers want to maintain their spot at the top of the standings, knowing they will play at Elk Lake on Friday.
