ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A judge has sentenced a man who was involved in a 2024 fatal shooting at an Allentown park.

Grelvis Estevez Cabrera, 29, of Bethlehem, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, according to a press release from the DA’s Office.

Cabrera was convicted by a jury in October of all charges including Criminal Homicide, Murder of the First Degree; Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Homicide of the First Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

20-year-old Carlos Landesta-Agramonte of Allentown pleaded guilty in September to third-degree murder and conspiracy in the shooting. He was sentenced in November to 20- 40 years in state prison.

Four others have also been charged in the June 1, 2024 killing that occurred at Fountain Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

25-year-old Angel Martinez-Velez of Allentown was shot numerous times while playing basketball at the park and his death was ruled a homicide.

Other defendants charged in the case include Alfeni Romero-Taveras, Joel Garcia Paulino and Wilmer Esquiel Marte-Tavarez, who are all awaiting trial.
