David G. Tilberry
OBITUARY
David G. Tilberry, 70, died on Monday at Allied Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.
Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Marion (Davis) Tilberry. He attended Scranton Schools before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and then worked for Scranton Building Block for most of his career.
David is survived by his sons, David Tilberry (Julie) of Scott Township, Michael Tilberry (Brittany) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brandon Tilberry of Scranton. He also leaves behind his much beloved grandsons Tyson and Roman; his brother Ray Tilberry (Lois – deceased), his sister Sharon Sollami (Sal) of Clarks Summit, and his sister-in-law MiHwa Tilberry of Taylor, several nieces and nephews, his former wife Maria and his partner, Lee Davis.
David was preceded in death by his first wife Priscilla (Petrisin) Tilberry and his brother, Jeffrey Tilberry.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the compassionate staff of Hospice & Palliative Care at Allied Skilled Nursing, and especially the direct care nurses, CNAs and support staff working at two North.
A funeral service celebrated by The Rev. Dr. Tyler Parry will be held on Saturday at 11:00am at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 232 Wyoming Ave., Scranton. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be private at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA.
Friends and family may call Friday from 4 to 7 in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker Street in Dunmore, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s honor may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 232 Wyoming Ave., Scranton.
