2 multi-vehicle crashes on Route 22 in Whitehall Twp. cause traffic headaches, several injured | Allentown Area

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Multiple early morning crashes in Lehigh County closed off a stretch of Route 22.

It started around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Whitehall Township.

Crews were called to the westbound lane between the Fullerton Ave and 15th street exits.

Investigators say a tractor trailer was involved, and several people were hurt.

Then, a few hours later, there was a second crash, this time in the eastbound lane.

State police say both lanes have since reopened.
