Amazon says its cloud computing services unit AWS has been hit by an outage, disrupting several popular websites and apps across the world.

Amazon says they are dealing with an “operational issue” affecting 14 different services in its center in northern Virginia.

They say they have identified the root cause of the outage but did not provide any other information.

Social media posts reported problems with cloud-based games such as Roblox and Fortnite; social networks including Snapchat; Amazon.com and Prime Video; the digital Ring doorbell service, among many others.

Media organizations including Disney and the New York Times were also apparently affected.
