HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Pennsylvania state senator who represents parts of Berks and Montgomery counties announced Monday she is seeking reelection.

in a news release announcing her candidacy, Pennycuick said she is a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in the State House before going to the State Senate.

“I didn’t run for office to be a politician,” Senator Pennycuick said. “I stepped forward because I believe service carries an obligation – to listen, to lead responsibly, and to improve people’s lives. That belief shaped my service in the Army, and it guides my work every day in the State Senate.”

Pennycuick has represented the 24th district since 2023. The district covers parts of Berks and Montgomery counties.
