Three adults are facing charges Thursday night, almost two years after an eight-year-old boy died in Erie.

In January 2024, erie police responded to an apartment on West 16th Street, where they found the boy.

Court documents said that the boy’s cause of death was pneumonia of both lungs, and a forensic pathologist determined that the boy’s death could have been prevented if he had received medical treatment.

The boy’s mother, Teana Fuller, his father, Patrick Hayes and his mother’s boyfriend, Joseph Ambrose, were charged on Thursday with involuntary manslaughter among other offenses.
