OLYPHANT, Pa. — Crews are working to repair a large water main break affecting residents in part of Lackawanna County.
A water main break was reported around 9:30 p.m. Thursday on the 800 block of East Lackawanna Avenue in Olyphant between Alice Street and Adams Avenue. That area will be closed for an extended period, police say.Â
Customers in the area may face low to no water pressure. The main break is expected to be repaired by 6 a.m. Friday.Â
Olyphant Police say this may have caused flooding in many basements. If your basement is flooded, contact the police at 570-342-9111. PA Water, Olyphant Fire Department, and other resources are on location.
