ROBESONIA BOROUGH, Pa. — Authorities are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that happened Wednesday night in Berks County.
The South Heidelberg Police Department responded to the scene on West Penn Avenue between Brooke and Church streets at approximately 6:20 p.m.
Police and EMS units responded to the scene and located a seriously injured female pedestrian, according to police. The female was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the striking vehicle immediately stopped and is cooperating with the police investigation, South Heidelberg police said.

Officials say that the victim’s name is being withheld at this time out of respect for her family.
