A woman who police said was kidnapped, restrained, blindfolded and pistol-whipped was able to escape at the BP gas station on Ardmore Boulevard in Wilkinsburg on Thursday night.An arrest warrant was issued Friday morning for one of the suspects in the case, Dontae Stevens, 19, of Wilkinsburg, whom the victim told police was a rapper in Pittsburgh.According to the criminal complaint, the victim was called to a home on Clark Street by Stevens, allegedly under the pretense of cutting hair.The court paperwork said that once the victim arrived, Stevens and an accomplice retrained her, blindfolded her, pistol-whipped her and demanded access to a cash app on her phone as well as money.Police said the victim was held at gunpoint for several hours as the suspects demanded ransom payments from the victim and her significant other.According to the criminal complaint, the victim was later transported in her own vehicle, and when she heard the suspects say they were at a gas station, she escaped, running to a pickup truck parked at the gas station.The victim was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a possible concussion.The warrant against Stevens lists multiple charges, including kidnapping and aggravated assault.
