BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A 21-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man at a township trailer park, police said.

The Bensalem Township Police Department charged Travis Fleck with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License, and related offenses approved by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Fleck turned himself in to Bensalem Police. He was arraigned by District Justice Terry Hughes and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after bail was set at 10 percent of $1 million.

Bensalem Police responded at 12:44 a.m. on Jan. 8 to a shooting at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road.

Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm and bleeding heavily. Officers immediately rendered life-saving first aid by applying a tourniquet to control the bleeding.

The victim was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition and was subsequently released.

The investigation determined the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim, who was on foot, and occupants of a red four-door sedan.

During a physical altercation between the victim and the vehicle’s driver, a rear passenger fired two rounds, police said. One round struck the victim, while the second struck a nearby mobile home.

The following day, detectives obtained surveillance footage from nearby residences and utilized police department intersection cameras to track the suspect vehicle as it fled the township.

The vehicle was also captured by a License Plate Reader, which led investigators to the registered owner’s residence in Levittown.

Detectives located and interviewed Fleck, who admitted to firing two rounds during the incident and acknowledged that he does not possess a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm.

Fleck consented to a search of his residence, where detectives recovered four firearms, including a 9mm “ghost gun” that was determined to be the firearm used in the attempted homicide, police said.
