PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — If you’re looking for something delicious to do this weekend, dining deals abound in Philadelphia and the suburbs.
It’s Restaurant Week in both Center City and the New Hope, Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey area along the Delaware River.
Center City Restaurant Week runs January 18 through January 31, offering two weeks of delicious dining deals.
“We have 120 participants, and that’s everyone from Michelin and James Beard recognized chefs, to mom-and-pop family-owned spots, to new places,” says Giavana Suraci Pruiti from Center City District. “This is the opportunity where people can try them all at a discount.”
Look for three-course, prix-fixe dinners for $45 or $60 and two-course lunches for $20.
Center City District is also teaming up with parking garages across the city to offer parking deals of $10 or less.
In the suburbs, two dozen restaurants are teaming up for the second annual New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week.
“Last time around, what we saw is a lot of people really got to try all these new, different restaurants, especially during the slower time of the year,” says Michael Sklar, President of the New Hope Chamber of Commerce.
Restaurants on both sides of the Delaware River are offering specially priced prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus ranging from $25 to $55.
“We’re a very small community, so we sort of rely on each other,” says Sklar. “As one of us thrives, the other one thrives as well.”
New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week runs from January 12 through January 25.
