The New York Rangers are winless in their previous five games after their 8-4 loss to the Senators on Tuesday night, with an official record of 0-4-1 in those games. Philadelphia Flyers News & Notes:

The Flyers have their own struggles lately, after a 6-3 loss to the Penguins Thursday night, which made five straight games without a win. They have a 0-4-1 record over the last five, scoring an average of just 1.8 goals per game and allowing an average of five goals per game. The Flyers lost 5-4 in a shootout in the first game they played against each other this season, back on December 20th.

Vincent Trocheck had a goal on four shots during the Shootout victory over the Flyers in their last game back in December. Trocheck also had a goal in the shootout, helping push the Rangers over the top. He has two goals and one assist in his last five games.

Defenseman Travis Sanheim had a goal and an assist in the shootout loss to the Rangers in December. He has been held pointless in his last five games and is a minus-three during that time.
