The Eagles will have a new offensive coordinator, but this team will look pretty similar in terms of the core of the roster. They’ve done well acquiring talent via the draft, and I’m sure they’ll find some solid pieces to add this upcoming draft cycle. Now I see edge and corner as their most pressing needs, followed by tight end and probably wide receiver and linebacker depth. This draft should be able to provide plenty of options, as there’s a lot of talent in this class!
Note: Teams inevitably trade draft picks during the draft; I will not be. I’m standing pat and selecting based on how the roster will look today, so no free agency either.
2026 Philadelphia Eagles: Overview
Thanks to our friends at Spotrac, here’s the top 18 contracts on the books today for next season. They are about in the middle of the road, in terms of contracts on the books, but they have plenty of things they can do to develop and churn this roster if they need to. You’ll see quite a few of these contracts are to players 27 years and older, so this roster will start looking quite different in the next couple of seasons.
Philadelphia Eagles 2026 7 Round NFL Mock Draft
Pick #23 – Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
What seemed to happen with this mock is that I looked towards the future, more than getting guys locked into starting roles from day 1. Dallas Goedert is the vet in the room, but Sadiq’s the future. Athletic do-it-all tight end that Jalen Hurts needs, easy pick as a late first in my opinion, thought he’d be gone by the mid to late teens, at the latest.
Pick #54 – Joshua Josephs, EDGE, Tennessee
With the Eagles being more of a 3-4 base defense, it’ll be interesting to see how’d they use Josephs and my later pick of Durant. I see Durant as more of an athletic attacking edge in this style of defense, where Josephs could stand up and attack as more of a linebacker. Both are extremely athletic and seem to fit the style of players the Eagles look at.
Pick #68 – Keionte Scott, DB, Miami (FL)
I wanted to grab a couple of defensive backs, and just let this team decide who is a true corner and who might be more of a hybrid corner/safety, potentially even the nickel player. Mitchell’s their #1; after that, you could make the case that the depth chart is wide open.
Pick #98 – Carter Smith, OT, Indiana
I grabbed two offensive linemen who are depth players to start, as your five starters are set at this time. Smith and Wilson bring in good athletic profiles, but I think Smith is more ready to step in and play from day one if need be. He’s played at a high level and been the cornerstone of this offensive line throughout Cignetti’s tenure, turning this team into a championship contender.
Pick #122 Omar Cooper Jr, WR, Indiana
I grabbed two wideouts because you have 3 starters…for now. AJ Brown is still under contract, but clearly not happy. DeVonta Smith is set, and I like Jahan Dotson, but, like your corners, the depth chart is pretty wide open after that. I think you need a big-bodied, physical wideout (Key) and a smaller YAC monster (potentially), and that’s where Cooper Jr comes in.
#137 – Davison Igbinosun, DB, Ohio State
#151 – Zane Durant, DL, Penn State
#179 – Sheridan Wilson, IOL, Texas Tech
#201 – Dane Key, WR, Nebraska
