MARYLAND (WBFF) — Police say an 18-year-old man from Greenbelt is facing charges related to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl in Philadelphia.

Anas Bey was arrested and charged with third-degree murder, possessing an instrument of crime, involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person, according to a Philadelphia Police Department news release.

Police said Bey is being charged in the death of 16-year-old Londyn Major, who was found Tuesday afternoon with gunshot wounds to her stomach and leg. Major was found in the 2400 block of Colorado Street in North Philadelphia, according to police.

Major, who lived in the 1500 block of North Bouvier Street — about a mile south from the site of the shooting — was taken to the hospital in “extremely critical condition” and pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
