Just before 9:00 am Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police received a phone call from Venango County 911, reporting that a patient was stabbed several times by another patient at the Sugar Valley Lodge.
Sugar Valley Lodge is a non-profit personal care home,
The Lodge is located in Polk Boro, Venango County.
The victim, Mary Gruphofer, 60-tears old of Polk, Pa. succumbed to the stab wounds at the scene.
When Troppers arrive at the scene, the victim was found dead in her room.
Dyan Diven was arrested and immediately taken into custody.
Diven has been charged with Criminal Homicide.
She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Andrew Fish and was denied bail.
Diven remains in the Venango County Jail.
The Troop E, Maor Case Team was activated and is investigating the incident.
