Glenn R. Miller
OBITUARY
Glenn R. Miller, formerly of Leesport, a resident of The Highlands, Wyomissing, died Thursday, January 15, 2026 in The Highlands. He was the husband of Sally A. (Hunt) Miller. They were married May 8, 1965 and celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Born in Leesport, he was the son of the late Kenneth G. and Beulah A. (Wentzel) Miller. He graduated from Ontelaunee High School in 1962. Glenn served in the US Army. He worked as a representative for Lutheran Brotherhood; now known as Thrivent, for 37 years before retiring in 1999. He loved baseball and playing golf. He had played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the minor league system. Glenn had 2 holes in one in his lifetime! He had served on church council for Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport; East Berks Mission Lay President for 6 years, Board of Family Life Topton Home for 5 years, Berks County Prison Society Board, Prospectus/Berco Board, and was a life member of both Basketball Old Timers; and the Reading Hot Stovers.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Kerry G. Miller, husband of Giuseppina, Danbury, CT; and Brian K. Miller, husband of Michael McCarthy, Chester Twp., NJ; three grandchildren: Peter, Gabriella and Giuliana. He is also survived by his siblings: Larry D. Miller, husband of Sylvia, Lancaster, Deanna F. (Miller) Barbis, wife of Peter, The Highlands, Lynn K. Miller, husband of Barbara, Monroeville, NJ, and Steven K. Miller, husband of Gail, Pennsville, NJ. He was predeceased by a daughter: Deanna S. Miller, died November 17, 2017.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 12 noon for Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street, Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the church. Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be sent to: Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, at the above address.
