William T. Kwolek

OBITUARY

William T. Kwolek, 85 of Peckville, PA passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2026.

He wasn’t sick, he was just tired!

William was born on April 19 th , 1940, in Throop, PA to the late John and Tillie Kwolek.

He was a graduate of Blakely High School, and earned a bachelors degree from the University of Scranton in 1961. He worked as a teacher and football coach at Blakely High School, then Valley View High School, for 30 years, and also spent 4 years on the Valley View School board. Over his 30-year tenure, he taught countless valley teens how to drive while working as a teacher.

William enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He loved all sports, but was a fanatic for his beloved Yankees. His favorite thing to do was sing karaoke with his friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Josette Kwolek, with whom he had the most loving partner and friend. He is also survived by his children, Jeff (Amsterdam, NY), Billy (Olyphant), Janine (Dunmore), Stephanie Miller and her husband Matt (Mt. Jewett, PA), and Kristen (Newark, DE). He also had 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandkids. He was beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all that loved him. He loved his family fiercely and took care of everyone.

He was preceded in death by his sister Rosemary Rodway, brother Roger Kwolek, Brother-in-law Joe Marzani, and Sisters-in-law Eileen Kwolek and Arlene Kwolek.

The Funeral will be on Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Peckville. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville.
