The rush is on to get the REAL ID for air travelers.
Starting Feb. 1, anyone flying without a REAL ID or passport will have to pay a $45 fee to get through TSA.
This applies to all travelers 18 and older who don’t have the yellow-star ID on their driver’s license.
While many Americans already have their REAL ID, DMV appointments are filling up fast nationwide.
Officials recommend checking early for openings, and you can learn more about Real IDs at TSA.gov.
