Pennsylvania lawmakers are announcing grants awarded to boroughs and townships in their districts, including more than a million dollars to the Lehigh Valley International Airport.

One round of grants comes from the PA Small Water and Sewer program, which gives money for water, sewer, stormwater and flood control projects.

Another round of grants is from the Multimodal Transportation Fund, which awards funding for transportation improvement projects.

A $1.3 million grant will go toward the construction of a new parking garage connected to LVIA, in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, officials said.

Here’s a look at other grant-funded projects, by county, as announced by local lawmakers.

BERKS COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Maxatawny Township Municipal Authority – $389,160 to repair a water storage tank.

— Tilden Township – $150,000 to rehabilitate a water storage tank.

— West Reading – $400,000 to support watermain replacements

— Windsor Township – $150,000 to control stormwater runoff around Mountain Road.

— Wyomissing – $454,922 to support the second phase of the Lincoln and Brandywine flood mitigation project

Multimodal Transportation Fund grants:

— West Reading – $543,180 to repair the curb and add a handicap access ramp to Playground Drive; and $132,047 to install a rapid flashing pedestrian crossing device at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Pine Street 

BUCKS COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Riegelsville Borough was awarded $238,653 for its public water supply emergency generator project.

— East Rockhill Township was awarded $210,000 for the refurbishment of its waste water treatment plant south aeration tank.

— Telford Borough Authority was awarded $389,114 for the county line road low pressure system grinder pumps purchase project.

— Springtown Water Authority was awarded $419,665 for improvements to its fire protection and water distribution systems.

CARBON COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Beaver Meadows Borough — $284,622 for utility improvements.

— Bowmanstown Borough Authority — $100,000 for a booster pump station upgrade.

— Jim Thorpe Borough — $100,000 for water line improvements along Front Street.

— Lansford Coaldale Joint Water Authority — $100,000 for well pump and pump house improvements.

— Nesquehoning Borough Water Authority — $100,000 for improvements to West Estates water system.

— Summit Hill Water Authority — $117,009 to replace a bridge.

LEHIGH COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

–Macungie Borough Authority was awarded $348,239 for Phase II of the Buttonwood St. water main replacement project.

Multimodal Transportation Fund grants:

— City of Allentown was awarded $800,000 for Phase II of the MLK Trail extension project.

— Lower Macungie Township was awarded $186,700 to construct pedestrian safety improvements along Brookside and Princeton Roads as well as $322,134 to install ADA ramp and curb improvements within three neighborhoods.

— North Whitehall Township was awarded $462,027 to replace the Rockdale Road Bridge.

MONROE COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Stroudsburg: $250,000 to be used toward an infrastructure slip lining project.

— East Stroudsburg Borough: $136,448 for a wastewater new roof project and $73,095 for security cameras.

Multimodal Transportation Fund grants:

— Stroudsburg Borough will receive a $600,000 Multimodal Transportation Fund grant to help repave six roads and install ADA-compliant curb ramps and sidewalk tie-ins.

— The Pocono Mountains Industrial Park Authority, on behalf of Greenwood Creek Personal Care Home, was awarded $250,000 toward the construction of a center turning lane along Milford Road in Middle Smithfield Township.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Palmer Township Stormwater Authority: $381,551 for the 25th Street culvert replacement project.

— Hellertown Borough Authority: $173,119 for an inflow and infiltration project, and $125,000 for a water main lining project.

— Glendon Borough: $115,907 for pump station upgrades.

— City of Easton: $100,000 for the Washington and Grant Street CIPP lining project.

— Hellertown Borough: $50,000 for Reinhard and Dimmick Park stormwater channel improvements.

— Wilson Borough: $35,000 for a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project.

— Bangor Borough Authority: $150,000

— Bethlehem Township Municipal Authority: $200,000

— East Bangor Borough Municipal Authority, WWTP Upgrades Project: $200,000

— Portland Borough Authority: Portland Borough Authority PA Small Water and Sewer Grant Application: $40,000

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY

PA Small Water & Sewer Program grants:

— Orwigsburg Borough – $207,369 to replace the influent screen at the borough’s wastewater treatment plant.

— Plum Creek Municipal Authority – $317,000 to replace a portion of the water main on Mustang Cove and Wynonah Drive in South Manheim Township.
