Beta Rho Chapter member Heather Pavuk of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and graduate of Susquehanna Community High School in 1995, received the $500 DKG Pa. Nancy Grove Visionary Award at the recent DKG Pa. State Convention at the Kalahari Convention Center. The competitive grant, established in memory of past state President Nancy Grove, is awarded to a member in-service educator to support an innovative teaching idea in her classroom or community. Pavuk, right, will use her grant to support the outdoor classroom project where she currently teaches second grade at Bushkill Elementary School in the East Stroudsburg School District.
