Wallenpaupack’s Gia Silva had two pins Wednesday night at a girls wrestling tri-match against Western Wayne and Abington Heights to secure her 50th career victory.
The Lady Buckhorns junior pinned Western Wayne’s Morgan Malloy and Abington Heights’ Zoey Hearst to reach the milestone.
Silva, ranked sixth in the state at 118 pounds according to PA Power Wrestling, placed second at districts and regionals last season to qualify for states and earn a spot on The Times-Tribune All-Region Team.

Chloe Mamera and Shannon Bestrycki each scored six points in the third quarter when Scranton Prep rallied to a win over Nazareth Area, 54-46, on Wednesday night in a nonleague girls basketball game at the Xavier Center.
Mamera finished with a game-high 28 points, and Bestrycki had 11 points for the second-ranked Classics (10-5).
Karly Leszcynski scored 12 points to lead Nazareth Area (13-5).
Wilkes-Barre Area 41, Lackawanna Trail 31: At Lackawanna Trail, Jaida Underwood scored 27 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Wolfpack to a nonleague win.
Underwood also had a big first quarter with eight points, and Jaydelyn Mora finished with six for Wilkes-Barre Area (4-12).
Ayla Seigle paced Lackawanna Trail (1-14) with 15 points.
Girls swimming
Elle Brewster won the diving event, and Isabella Stanton won the 100-yard breaststroke to lead West Scranton to an 81-62 win over Valley View in a Lackawanna League girls swimming meet.
Brewster and Stanton also teamed with Carmella Vidota and Adrianna Wyman-McDonnell to win the 200 medley relay for the Lady Invaders.
Gabby Zurn (200 IM, 100 fly), Alexander Bacu (100 free, 100 back) and Reilly Sprague (200 free, 500 free) had two individual wins for Valley View.
