MG Architects is pleased to announce that Alexandra Murphy has joined its firm as part of the Architectural Staff.

Alexandra “Ally” Murphy will assist the firm’s Architects and Project Managers with all phases of design documentation and construction contract administration, develop detailed 3D/BIM models, and create construction documents and schedules from those models. She will also assist Project Managers with construction phase contract administration.

Earning a Bachelor of Architecture, Art History Minor, and Urban Studies Designation, Ally graduated from Marywood University in 2025. She gained professional experience as an Architectural Intern at Breslin Architects, working as a summer intern. A graduate of Blue Mountain Academy, Ally achieved high honors during her tenure, including holding the role of Treasurer for the National Honor Society. She additionally holds a Procore certification.

Ally will begin documenting her real-world experience via the industry-standard Architectural Experience Program® (AXP®). Developed by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and required by most U.S. licensing boards, the AXP provides a framework to guide emerging designers through earning and reporting their professional experience.

Ally will work out of the firm’s Wyomissing office, but as customary, she will support projects throughout the firm’s service area, including 11 states (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont) and the District of Columbia.

MG Architects has delivered design, planning, and construction administration services throughout the region and neighboring states for more than a century. The firm actively engages in projects, initiatives, and events that support local workforce development and foster growth opportunities for architectural professionals at every career stage. The firm views it as its professional responsibility to provide guidance, mentorship, and hands-on experience to emerging architects as they progress toward licensure.

Welcome to the team, Ally!
