The Auto Express Mazda has met the goal of providing over 10,000 meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank. The holiday fundraising effort was created to support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Pennsylvania.
Employees of the Auto Express Mazda provided 1,316 meals each week for eight weeks. Local families facing hunger will benefit from all the food donated.
The Food and Fund Drive started on the Friday before Thanksgiving and continued through the holidays and the New Year. The money raised has allowed for more than 10,000 meals to support the local community.
“Auto Express Mazda and their team truly stepped up for our neighbors,” said Gregory D. Hall, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania. “Providing more than 10,000 meals through this campaign helps many families across our region. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to our community.”
“This campaign was a team effort from start to finish,” said Joe Askins, owner of Auto Express Mazda. “Our employees were proud to come together to support Second Harvest and help make a real impact for local families. Giving back to the community that supports us is something we truly believe in.”
