LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Matthew Ronca was doing his daily delivery job when he was killed when his tanker overturned at the Bensalem Interchange off Interstate 276 early Monday morning.

“Matt was more than an employee — he was a hardworking, dependable, and caring person who took pride in providing for his family and supporting his team. Every day, he showed up ready to work, and his absence leaves a deep void in our work family and in the lives of those who knew him,” said Holly Adams, who launched the fundraiser.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of our coworker and friend, a dedicated truck driver who lost his life in an accident while on the job,” Adams said.

Ronca lost control of the tanker truck, and it overturned on the off ramp from eastbound Interstate 276 going onto Route 1 in Trevose just before 1 a.m. on Monday, authorities said.

Ronca was trapped inside when the truck landed on its side down an embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Bensalem Police said that Pennsylvania State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.

“He leaves behind his loving wife and three children, whose world has been forever changed by this sudden and devastating loss. As they grieve, they are now facing unexpected financial burdens, including funeral expenses, household costs, and the ongoing needs of raising three children without Matt, who was their primary provider,” Adams said.

Ronca was one of two people killed in crashes in Lower Bucks County following winter storms over the past weekend.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden and to show his family that they are not alone,” Adams said. “Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward supporting his wife and children during this incredibly difficult time.”
