Four newborn puppies are recovering after they were found abandoned in a box next to a dumpster.
Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation took in the puppies on Wednesday night after a woman called saying she found them next to the dumpster outside of her apartment complex in Tobyhanna.
One of the puppies had already died by the time rescuers got to them, and the other four were barely hanging on.
Outcast Rescue in Catasauqua is now caring for the puppies.
Pocono Wildlife say they’re working with authorities to investigate.
