The Dime Bank donated $20,000 to United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania through the state Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. UNC used the funding to operate Project Hope Day Camp — a safe, supportive environment where children from low-income families in Scranton can learn, grow and thrive during the summer months. The camp focuses on building essential life skills such as emotional regulation, mindfulness, physical activity and social connection.
