An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 10:05 a.m. for snow showers until 10:45 a.m. for Crawford County.

“At 10:03 a.m., radar indicated steady to heavy snow showers along a line extending from near Spring Creek to near Garrettsville to near Willard, moving southeast at 30 mph,” states the weather service.

Locations impacted by the alert include Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Elyria, Mansfield, Warren, Medina, Wooster, Ashland, Norwalk, Meadville, Ravenna, Parma, Cuyahoga Falls, Strongsville, Boardman, Brunswick, Massillon and North Royalton. Use extra caution if you must travel. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents.
